                         Analisaram-se imagens anal{\'o}gicas e digitais do TM e HRV, de 
                         diferentes per{\'{\i}}odos de aquisi{\c{c}}{\~a}o. Aos dados 
                         digitais foram aplicadas t{\'e}cnicas de realce de imagens e 
                         obtidas composi{\c{c}}{\~o}es coloridas multiespectrais. A 
                         analise e interpreta{\c{c}}{\~a}o das imagens TM, HRV e das 
                         cartas topogr{\'a}ficas, alem das informa coes de campo, 
                         possibilitaram identificar nove unidades de relevo, agrupadas em 
                         tres categorias de acordo com a morfog{\^e}nese: formas 
                         estruturais/denudacionais (escarpas), formas denudacionais 
                         (pedimentos, tabuleiros, colinas e relevos residuais)e formas de 
                         acumula{\c{c}}{\~a}o (planicies fluviais e plan{\'{\i}}cie do 
                         pantanal, esta subdividida em pouco {\'u}mida, {\'u}mida e muito 
                         {\'u}mida). As formas de relevo de origem estrutural/denudacional 
                         e denudacional foram caracterizadas de acordo com os 
                         n{\'{\i}}veis de disseca{\c{c}}{\~a}o e classes de amplitude 
                         de relevo e declividade. A partir dos resultados conclui-se que as 
                         imagens TM e HRV permitem elaborar cartas geomorfol{\'o}gicas da 
                         {\'a}rea de estudo, na escala de 1:100.000. Entretanto, o apoio 
                         das cartas topogr{\'a}ficas e fundamental na 
                         defini{\c{c}}{\~a}o mais precisa dos limites das unidades de 
                         relevo, bem como na caracteriza{\c{c}}{\~a}o morfom{\'e}trica 
                         destas unidades. ABSTRACT: This study evaluates the contribution 
                         of both Landsat-TM and SPOT-HRV data to geomorphologic mapping in 
                         a section of Taquari river (Mato Grosso do Sul State, Brazil). 
                         Analogic and digital TM and HRV data of different acquisition 
                         times were analyzed. Digital enhancement techniques were applied 
                         to these data sets, and multispectral color composites were 
                         obtained. Nine relief units were obtained from the analysis and 
                         interpretation of TM, HRV and topographic maps, together with 
                         information obtained from the field survey. These units were 
                         grouped into three categories according to its morphogenesis: 
                         structural/denudational forms (scarps), denudational forms 
                         (pediments, tables, hills and residual relief) and depositional 
                         forms (floodplains, Pantanal, the latter divided in low, medium 
                         and high moisture areas). The structural/denudational and 
                         denudational relief features were classified according to 
                         dissection levels and relief and slope classes. Based on the 
                         results, one can conclude that it is possible to elaborate 
                         geomorphologic maps based on both TM and HRV data, at 1:100,000 
                         scale. Nevertheless, topographic maps are essential to define more 
                         precisely the relief units, as well as the morphometric indices.",
